TRADE TIME HQ™

Custom field service software

Field service software built around your company.

Most field service apps ask your crew and your office to work their way. We go the other way: we start with the time card, job ticket and paperwork your company already runs on, and build the system around them.

Off the shelf or built for you

When an off-the-shelf app is enough, and when it isn't

Off-the-shelf field service apps are a good fit when your company works the way the app expects. Plenty of companies are happy with one, and if yours is, you probably don't need us.

They stop fitting when the things that make your company yours don't fit their settings: a pay week that doesn't start on Monday, a travel rule your crews were hired under, a ticket your customers have signed for twenty years, a dispatch board your office knows by heart, or a crew that works in basements with no signal. Then the crew goes back to paper, and the office types everything twice.

Custom field service software keeps all of that. The words on the buttons are your crew's words. The card prints in your columns. The ticket looks like your ticket.

What a build covers

One system from the field to the office

In the field

  • Time cards with your pay week, travel and overtime rules
  • Job tickets signed on site and locked once signed
  • Each crew member's jobs on his phone, with directions
  • Checklists, photos and safety paperwork
  • Works with no signal and sends later

In the office

  • A dispatch board for the day and the week
  • Approving cards and sending them to payroll
  • Pricing tickets and sending them to billing
  • Customers, job sites and quotes
  • Truck GPS, if you want it

This is what Saw Time does today for a concrete cutting company. A build for your trade starts from the same core and is shaped around your paperwork; what is in it is written in your quote.

Running every day

Not a mock-up. Saw Time runs a company today.

Saw Time is our first finished build, made for concrete cutting, coring and sawing companies. It runs a real company's crews, dispatch, time cards and job tickets every day, and it was built the way we describe here: from that company's own paper forms, run beside the paper until it matched.

What you can count on

Built for you, and still yours

  • A written quote first. What we'll build, the monthly price and any build fee on their own lines, before anything starts.
  • About four weeks for a typical shop. That's a planning estimate; your quote sets it.
  • Side by side with paper until the two match, and you decide when the paper stops.
  • Your own separate database, never shared with another company.
  • Encrypted backups every night, kept off site.
  • No cancellation fee, and every record, photo and signature goes with you if you leave.

Questions

About custom field service software

How much does custom field service software cost?

Every build is quoted for that company, because what goes into it depends on your forms, your crews, your trucks and what you want built. The quote puts the monthly price and any build fee on their own lines before anything starts.

How long does a build take?

About four weeks for a typical shop is our planning estimate. More locations, more departments or connections to other systems take longer, and your quote will say so before you agree to it.

Which trades do you build for?

Saw Time, for concrete cutting, is finished and in daily use. Plumbing is our next big build, and we talk with landscaping, electrical, HVAC and other trade companies about what a build would look like for them.

Do we have to change how we work?

No. The point is to keep your paperwork, your words and your crew's routine, and put them on a phone and an office screen.

Who owns our data?

You do. Every record, photo and signature you put in is yours, kept in your own database, and you can export all of it whenever you want.

What if we want to leave?

There is no cancellation fee, and you take every record, photo and signature with you.

Built around your business.

Send us a time card and a work order from your shop and tell us how your day runs. We'll answer plainly: what we'd build, how long it would take, and what it would cost.
